Certificates of acceptance

A certificate of acceptance is a new tool in the Building Act 2004. It can be used in certain situations where work has been done without a building consent, or where a building consent authority that is not a territorial authority or regional authority cannot issue a code compliance certificate. Provision for them came into force from 31 March 2005.
