Applying for product certification
Two PCBs (SAI-Global and GlobalMark) are now seeking expressions of interest from possible certification applicants in New Zealand so they can have their scope increased to cover our Building Code. Both organisations have been appointed as PCBs in Australia as part of the CodeMark Scheme.
If you want to know more about the benefits of product certification, or to discuss how to gain certification, please contact either organisation below:
Note: In listing these organisations, the Department is not endorsing them as the sole PCBs. Any other potential PCBs who wish to be listed here are invited to contact the Department at
info@dbh.govt.nz.
The following organisations are interested in gaining accreditation to the CodeMark scheme but do not currently have scope for either the New Zealand or Australian Building Codes. They would welcome an application in order to gain accreditation:
There will be a fee payable to a potential PCB, based on the commercial relationship with them (the fee is not set by the Department). It will depend on factors including how much supporting evidence you already have about compliance of your product, any test results etc.
