Eligibility
Who can apply?

You need to be either:
- an existing volume builder with a track record of building on a substantial scale. This includes:
- group home builders
- garage and shed franchisers
- suppliers of kitset buildings
- retirement village owners or builders, where standard designs are being constructed several times.
Or:
- any other builder who intends to replicate the intended design (and is capable of doing so) at least 10 times in a two year period.
If you fall into this last category, the Department may require additional evidence of your business ability to replicate the design several times. This evidence may include records of company history, ownership, management, financial position, and business or marketing intentions.
If you have a MultiProof for a building design, you can build the design several times within one district, or nationwide, subject to any approval conditions.
What building types are eligible?
The building design for which you are seeking a MultiProof must fall within one of the following categories:
- stand-alone garage
- stand-alone shed, farm building or other outbuilding
- a detached one or two storied house, including a semi-detached house (where the two dwelling units share one internal wall on the horizontal plane).
In time, it is anticipated that the service scope will grow to include light commercial buildings and other buildings.
Please note that only entire buildings are eligible – not building products or part-buildings. If you wish to have a specific building product or system approved, you should refer to the Product Certification information.
