Minor variations to building consents: Guidance on definition, assessment and granting
From 1 February 2010 the newly introduced section 45A of the Act enables a building consent authority (BCA) to grant a minor variation prior to or during construction without having to go through the formal process of issuing an amendment to the building consent.
This document provides information and guidance to BCAs, and to others such as builders, designers and project managers, about:

- how BCAs should assess and grant minor variations
