Enhanced tenancy services

It’s now easier for landlords and tenants to access tenancy services using the enhanced services listed below.

  • Extended hours for phone advice. The tenancy free phone number 0800 TENANCY (0800 83 62 62), is available from 8 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
  • Access to face to face services in many more locations throughout New Zealand. Services at most offices are appointment-based. Appointments for advice are offered at 85 locations. There are five full service offices in Auckland CBD, Manukau, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch where you can walk in and talk to someone about a renting problem without appointment.
  • A new phone mediation service deals with simple, straightforward applications that may be resolved without the need for face to face mediation.  This service is called Swift.  Those offered Swift phone mediation may be able to resolve their tenancy issue over the phone within 24 hours of an application being made
  • You can now make a Tenancy Tribunal application online and pay with your Visa or MasterCard 24 hours a day.
