Judges' comments

Frans Kamermans’ clever modular plan and stylish and contemporary exterior will appeal to many people.

The plan will adapt to many sites in orientation and layout and can grow as needs arise. The judges felt that while the design would be suitable for many parts of New Zealand, the butterfly roof and internal box gutters would create some challenges for areas prone to high rainfall, hail and snow.
