Electrical Workers Licensing Group

The Electrical Workers Licensing Group provides registration and complaint assessment services to the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB), responsible for the ongoing competency of about 38,000 registered electrical and electronic workers.

It transferred to the Department of Building and Housing from the Ministry of Economic Development on 1 September, 2006, as part of the Government’s suite of reforms designed to provide improved and integrated services to the building sector and the public.
