Building Practitioners Board

The Building Practitioners Board oversees the Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) scheme. The Board is independent of the Building and Housing Group of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment  but the Ministry supports the performance of its role and functions. It hears complaints on competency issues as well as looks at practitioner appeals and oversees the LBP Rules.
