BC Update: No.62 - Consultation on Changes to F6 Compliance Document

11 June 2007: The Department of Building and Housing is changing the Compliance Document for Building Code Clause F6 (Lighting for Emergency).

A new Compliance Document will be introduced shortly.  The Department consulted on it in August 2005.

Meanwhile:

  • the name of the existing Compliance Document will change to Visibility in Escape Routes on 21 June 2007
  • the Department is consulting on the proposal to reference the updated Standards AS 2293.1:2005 and AS 2293.3:2005 (formerly AS/NZS 2293.1:1998 and AS/NZS 2293.3:1995) in the new Compliance Document.

The Department is seeking your comments on the proposal to reference the updated Standards.  You can inspect copies of the Standards at the Department’s national office at Level 6, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, or buy them online at www.standards.org.au.
