26 July 2005: Following on from a number of inquiries regarding functions held by the WHRS prior to its transition to the Department of Building and Housing on 1 July 2005, the Acting National Manager of the WHRS, Nigel Bickle has advised that three staff functions were held between June 2004 and June 2005. 2 December 2004: On 2 December the Minister for Building Issues, Hon Margaret Wilson, launched ConsumerBuild at the Wellington Central Library. ConsumerBuild is a partnership between the Department of Building and Housing and Consumers' Institute. It is a website to help people who are building, renovating, or maintaining a home.
